Rachel Painter

Scroll down for Rachel’s Biography

Rachel Painter started her career in 2008 by training at Falmouth University graduating with a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design.

Having set up artistic community projects including murals and weekly creative workshops, after 6 years, she felt the call to return to her own painting.

Primarily working in oils, she aims to capture the flux of light in her impressionistic work: the change from day to night and season to season; watching how light affects the gentle, yet startling, colour transitions upon the sky, land and water.

Rachel’s work is held in private collections throughout the UK and abroad. She was also selected by the leading art critic of the Financial Times, William Packer, as an Honorary Fellow of the RCA for ‘Green & Stone Of Chelsea’ Summer Open Exhibition in 2020.
