Lesley-Ann Keen

Scroll down for Lesley-Ann’s Biography

Lesley-Ann Keen was raised in Co. Down, Northern Ireland and moved to Cornwall in 2003 to study at Falmouth College of Art.

She was responsible for delivering the gallery education in both the Newlyn and the South London galleries and has recently been supported by a Cultivator grant to enable her to develop her painting practice.

The inspirational landscapes of Cornwall and Ireland are hugely important to her work and she is constantly inspired by the beauty of a colour or a reflection created by the sunlight on the oceans. She describes her painting as extending a moment of joy, or to help the viewer relive a memory of a person or a place.

After completing a Studio Practice course at Newlyn School of Art, she exhibited the work at Tremenhere Sculpture Gardens earlier this year as part of a group show and Lesley-Ann’s work is collected through galleries in Ireland and abroad.
