Chloe Woods started her studies at Bournville College of Art where the smell from the Cadbury factory filled the studio while she painted.
Having gained a BA (Hons) from Nottingham Trent University, she undertook a career in Interior Architecture before the move to Cornwall in 2015 reignited Chloe’s passion for art.
Chloe enjoys capturing the beautiful Cornish coastline; the natural colours of the landscape against the fluorescent and primary colours of the beaches, boats and harbours are what inspire her to paint the most. She works in a range of mediums including acrylics, collage, charcoal and pastels which help her bring those contrasts to the canvas.
In 2020 Chloe was ‘Highly Commended’ by the SAA for her painting ‘Yellow Stripe’ and in September 2021 was excited to have won her category of the SAA ‘Artist of the Year 2021’.
Chloe still enjoys eating chocolate while she paints!
